Homemade Christmas Treats

Homemade Christmas treats…it’s almost that time of year!

It’s about that time of year when we start pinning ideas for homemade Christmas treats and gift ideas. I love this time of year. Planning, family, allll the good food!

Usually my to-do list lengthens by about a mile this time of year, but it’s all good things so it’s worth it ๐Ÿ™‚

This year, I’ve been considering my health (and my kids’ health) a lot more. After watching a few documentaries about the food we eat, I’ve been TRYING to limit sugar. I know I know….Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas….and I try to eliminate sugar! I’m doing my best LOL

But to be honest, I’m not going to deprive myself or my kids of great Christmas goodies. However, I am going to try my hardest to create some new traditions that are a little healthier take on traditional goodies!

When I plan for homemade Christmas treats, I like SIMPLE!

Who doesn’t like simple when it comes to anything? Homemade Christmas treats are the very best kind. I rarely find anything from the store at holiday time that I just can’t live without. I want tradition and homemade goodies!

I like chocolate dipped pretzels with sprinkles, Christmas cookies, and hot cocoa with marshmallow fluff! MMM. ๐Ÿ™‚

I like comfort food and adorable food and food that looks festive!

I like sweet and savory and fruity and chocolatey and cinnamony [that’s TOTALLY a word] ๐Ÿ˜‰

So when I found this new recipe that looks so festive, is a healthy take on the traditional goodies, AND fits in with all of the other homemade Christmas treats…I was STOKED!
